Loft Insulation Can't Post

OK - So you've set up your ladders and have a look in the loft. As everyone knows you have to check the thickness of the loft insulation, in the case of this property it is 75mm in the joists.

However, at the time of EPC inspection if you study the photo you will notice that half of it is missing. So the question is what entry would you make on your RdSAP Data Sheet?

50% of 75mm, being 37.5mm....the nearest thickness available BELOW that to ensure it is displayed to be upgraded on the EPC...is my view.

I would just go to the next bracket down, which is 50mm, subject to checking my NES bulletins!

I would go with the 25mm. If I'm not mistaken it is said take the lower measurement in cases like this for the EPC to recommend the upgrade.

Hi Baggers,

Thanks for your opinion on this one - although opinion seems somewhat divided as to what the entry should be on the data sheet -- see previous posts.

Cheers
