Commercial Buildings Energy Assessment Can't Post

Commercial Energy Assessment will be split into distinct groups as follows

Air Conditioning

Energy assessors will require additional training for energy assessment and the production of an EPC to include air conditioning systems.

A register of current Air Conditioning Inspectors is available

Newly Constructed Dwellings

Full SAP will be applied for the production of an EPC for this type of building. Existing accredited assessors can apply for additional training.

Public Buildings

Require Display Energy Certificates (DEC). Existing accredited assessors can apply for additional training.

Non-Dwellings

E.g. Commercial or industrial premises. Existing accredited assessors can apply for additional training.


Existing training providers are expected to apply for approval as accreditation centres.
