Hi Kevin, Welcome to the forum! In answer to your question the best thing to do is visit the HSE website and download the Health & Safety inspection check list sheets, these are very handy to fill in on initial inspection of the property, these can be found at: http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/raindex.htm The five steps of risk assessments [Adobe Reader required] is what you need. At the bottom are some forms which you should complete as part of your "risk assessment" of the property. Complete this form for every property that you inspect and keep with your portfolio, and if you are accredited keep them with the property particulars, auditors may ask to see them if they pay you a visit! As for accreditation try ECMK in Milton Keynes, I think they charge about £100 to be accredited, which also entitles you to preferential rates for professional indemnity insurance. Hope this helps.
